Here is a flat rimmed soup plate, 9 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches. It was made in the Ridgway, Sparkes & Ridgway pottery in Hanley, which operated from 1873 - 9. The English Registry Mark dates this bowl to 1877.

It is in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, hairlines, stains, and restorations....
