Description
Sterling Salt and Pepper Shakers Early 1900's
This unusual pair of Salt and pepper shakers are 3-1/2 inches tall and weigh 4 oz. The tops are made of etched glass and the bases are weighted. Made by Quaker Silver Co. they are marked "706 Sterling Patent 2026738." (see photo). The glass is etched with a sweeping floral pattern. One shaker"s glass is slightly clouded at the bottom from salt exposure, not noticable when salt is inside (a little periodic application of vinegar will clean it up nicely). They date from the early 1900"s and make a nice addition to any table setting. Sterling Silver and Plate; Sterling; Formal Dinnerware; Gifts.
