Circa: early 1900's Condition: Good+ Manufacturer: Machinist
This is a nice clean old heavy duty screwdriver that measures 13.25" long overall, with a .37" wide tip. The appears to have been design to use in a production set up where a hammer and a screwdriver was require to set the part in place most likely. The brass handle end appears to have been used to tap a metal part, and the screwdriver tip is in very good shape, as well the the main shaft that is straight and clean. The steel ferrule has a tongue and groove link, perhaps one of the most rigid designs I have seen. Winchester had a similar design on the screwdrivers. The handle weights about 2 pounds. A nice machine shop type heavy duty service screwdriver! |
