This original postcard is from the 1933 Century Of Progress (Chicago World's Fair) which was held in Chicago. It is in good condition and the front features the A & P Carnival. The reverse side features a postcard format, which is used and a paragraph that says The Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company has created an area at the World's Fair for pleasure, without admission charge. There is a big open air marine park, with an amphitheater seating several thousand, surrounding a revolving stage where daily programs are given. Tony Sarg's famous marionettes, Harry Horlick and his Gypsy orchestra and Gypsy dancing, are features. With George Rector presiding as master of ceremonies it is a real carnival and measures approx. 5 1/2 x 3 1/2.
