We had no responses, so here are some recipes for hot drinks.

I have a wonderful friend whose mother makes this powdered drink mix
as gifts for the holidays.
Since it is powdered, it can easily be shuffled through other drink ideas
to really spice up the husband's thermos. Enjoy!
1/2 cup instant tea powder
2 cups orange-flavored drink mix (e.g. Tang)
3 ounces lemonade-flavor drink powder
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
In a large bowl, mix together powdered drink mixes, sugar, and spices.
Place in jars.
Instructions to include with gift:
1. Place 2 to 3 rounded teaspoonfuls in a cup.
2. Add boiling water and serve.
In wintertime I make ginger tea. Take a large chunk of fresh ginger
(you don't have to peel it unless the outside looks nasty) and smash
it or chop it up. Put 5 c. water in a non-reactive saucepan and add
the ginger. Bring to a boil, turn down and simmer until you can
really smell the ginger. The fumes should be quite strong! Strain
and add honey or brown sugar to taste. You can also add a stick of
cinnamon and a clove or two while the tea is cooking, if those don't
irritate your throat. Note: you can make this in advance, but don't
strain out the ginger until you are ready to put it in the Thermos or
serve it to someone.
This is wonderful for clearing out your sinuses and chest after a cold
or a bout of the flu, but we drink it any time in cold weather. Ann

leftovers (or saved-overs) can be placed in the fridge and saved for an
