Story from a reader
From The Collectors Newsletter #472 November 2006 (06-29-2007)

I just read the collector story about the man who got over 800 ducks in his older years.

I love English Bulldogs and have pushed the limits on a curio cabinet full of various items.

But the story I want to share is in memory of my grandmother. Grammy started collecting elephants later on in her life (she started at about 80). She had them all over the house when she died at 97. I do not know where all the elephants she owned went, but I now own one black jade elephant pendant. The Christmas after she died my husband gave it to me as a gift to remember her. It is the best one piece collection a gal could own.

My brother and I also honored her memory and her love of elephants by purchasing and donating a box full of stuffed elephants to the local hospital for the children in lieu of flowers at the funeral. I like to think that Gram was very pleased to still bring love and peace to the little ones. Deb in Florida.
