Our estate sale find is a Georges Briard, cream cr me color faux leather or vinyl ice bucket that is 7 inches tall 12 1 2 inches to top of handle with a diameter of 7 1 2 inches. The front of the ice bucket has a black and silver metal name plate with the letters, AFL which we believe stands for the American Football League. The AFL existed as its own separate football division from the NFL between the years of 1960 1969. The leagues merged in 1970 and the two separate leagues became conferences as part of a single Professional Football League. The Briard designed ice bucket has retro charm with a classy look. Complementing the vinyl is a black-edged decorative silver band, similar handle treatment, and a silver knob on the lid. The interior has an insulated white lining. The only note we make is of some light scuff marks to the inside lining and minor exterior wear appropriate for nearly fifty years of age.
