Marked Chinese Silver Belt with Art Nouveau Motif

Chinese silver began to find its way to American through Chinese immigrants during the 1880s - 1930s periods. Most of the antique jewelry found in the U.S. collectible market today was imported during this period. There is an identical book piece with a different motif in the 2001 Fred Rezazadeh book on Collectible Silver Jewelry. It appears that like many old silver pieces this originally may have had a gold wash as there are spots on it where a gold tone still appears. The motif is similar to an Art Nouveau floral pattern and it's a nice length at 35-1 2 inches. The book value in 2001 was 175, however, the price of silver have gone up just as gold has. Total weight is 4.7 ounces. All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

Goldtone and Enamel Asian Posts

Nice pair of screw back posts Asian style earrings. The top has a heart filled with green enamel and the bobs have a dot of red. Has the typical little bell type dangles and lovely filigree work. One of the neat things about this pair of earrings is that they are designed to hang with the design facing out at the side for full view, rather than just in the front. There is some finish loss at the C rings that is not noticeable when worn. All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

Large Peacock Schiaparelli Earring

True, it's only a single earrings, but too great to toss. Schiaparelli got the watermelon technique down pat, and this piece looks like the eye of a peacock feather. Use it as a collar clip, pendant, or if you are fortunate enough to have another one to pair with; it's in very good condition with no chips or scratches on the glass. I've included a photo with a coin, as well as one with it sitting on the coin to give the feel of it's size. All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part.
Outstanding Rare Pink and Smoke Rhinestone Set

We just returned from a fair in the mid South and found the economy is worse there than it is on the East Coast. Plenty of people were just looking, and without exaggeration 85 that went through our booth were looking at this set, regardless of age or gender. It truly is one of the most outstanding sets I've had the privilege of offering to my customers. The center stones are huge pink with smaller pink and smoke ascents hand set in gold tone. Unbelievably it is not signed. The bracelet is made in a curve of three rows with the middle tiered above, and measures just shy of 7-1 2 inches. The 15 quot; adjustable necklace is two rows in the center that tapers to one. I have one 1-5 8 quot; clip earring that can be used as a center piece on the necklace or as a collar clip. Unfortunately the other was missing from the estate. Pink is a rare color to come by and even more scarce with the smoke grey. There are no dead stones or flaws of any kind that I can see. The closest thing I found to determine price value were both single pieces rather than a set; with the bracelet going at 240 and the necklace at 250. Without a doubt you will turn heads and have more compliments wearing this set than you would wearing diamonds. Photos have not been doctored and the full set on the white background shows the closest coloring to the dark blush shade of pink. All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

Large Jomaz Lion Pendant with Pearl and Stones

Mazer Brothers was founded in the 1920's and has become well known for high quality jewelry that is avidly sought by collectors. The earlier jewelry was marked Mazer Bros., and later went by Jomaz. They went out of business in the 1970's. In my opinion the firm made some of its finer pieces under the Jomaz name. The center of this pendant is adorned with a bronze enamel lion face. The pearl in its mouth has a lovely luster and it s difficult to tell whether it is real or faux. Around the head and the outer edges are jade glass stones. This unique pendant is 3-3 4 quot; by 2-3 4 quot; and hangs from a 26 inch chain. The etched chain mimics the etching on the filigree pendant. All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part. For this reason I try to include close-up photos for your examination, but please feel free to ask questions before you make your purchase.

Mid-Victorian Saphiret Collar Pin

This Art Nouveau collar pin was hand made from various metals including what looks like gold wash over brass, yellow gold, sterling, and rolled gold. The four stones are magnificent. There are two mother-of-pearl; one of which is milky in color and the other shows off much more pinks and blues. The two saphiret stones are the finest I have ever seen with a lot of blue. I have had a few saphiret pieces in the past and they are usually sold pretty fast, as they have become highly collectible. Some background on saphiret glass: From the book quot;Baubles, Buttons and Beads - The Heritage of Bohemia quot; by Sibylle Jargstorf, page 139: quot;Although the original name, saphiret glass, has not survived the years, this was a very popular Gablonz bijouterie glass created in the 19th. century. Its' bi-colored appearance results from gold, which is added as an ingredient to a basic sapphire blue glass. In the second half of the 19th. century, there are references to saphiret glass which fetched higher prices then gold-ruby. It can be found in some of the finest Art Nouveau jewelry. quot; All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part.
Japanese Pearl Cleopatra Set

This is one of the sets I acquired from a man whose wife collected jewelry from Japan for decades. From what I can see, she purchased but never wore much of it. This is no exception, as the condition is excellent. The bib necklace mimics the Cleopatra style. Two and a half inches wide, the faux pearls are set off by intermittent crystal. The clip earrings also pick up the chains gold tone with textured beads. With a book value of 190, this starting price for a newly listed item is a steal All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part.
Brushed Metal Park Lane Bangle with Earrings

This is a fantastic match. The Park Lane bangle is done in a brush gold tone. It's from old stock I bought up years ago from a dealer that had done the home shows. The clip earings make a real statement at 1-3 4 inch and an inch tall. They are like a burst of flowers and they match the gold tone of the bracelet perfectly. All my jewelry is vintage or antique previously worn jewelry for the most part.
Buttons in an Old Tetley Tea Tin

For some unknown reason my husband brought this home to me years ago when I started this jewelry business. I think he has learned a lot since then. He can at least tell the difference between a button and a pin The only thing I know about buttons is from my childhood. My mom had a large tin filled with interesting old pieces. That kept me entertained for hours. Moving during a blizzard in Michigan the thing fell off the back of a truck and as much as I cried to pick them up, my dad didn't think it was a good idea in four foot of snow with no sign of letup in sight. Maybe that's why I hung on to this box for so long. I haven't counted these, or investigated them, other than stirring them a bit to take photos. There are some Bakelite, leather, crocheted, mother-of-pearl, glass, abalone, and metal to name a few. The tin has seen better days, but would no doubt look much better cleaned up. There is no rust on the lip of the lid, which opens easily. The box measures 6 quot; by 3-3 4 quot; by 3-1 2 inches tall. This will be shipped in a Flat Rate Priority Box.
