<description> A fascinating Civil War letter from Emma Thompson, Otselic New York, to her sister, Oct 1, 1862, announces the news that their brothers Stephen, Samuel, Dennis   George have enlisted in Company I, 114th New York Infantry, Sam is the Color Bearer, the ladies of Otsilic have presented a flag to the company, says it is the fiest looking company in the regiment, the town has given its  quot;most noble young men quot; to the  quot;dreadful war quot;, writer despairs they will never return, has seen the last of their  quot;sad faces quot; ; they are at Camp Belger,write them c o Captain HS Wheeler.  2pp ink w color patriotic letterhead illus of General McClellan.
