<description>A really spectacular piece in every way.  By top designer and long time Doulton art director Charles J. Noke and Harry Fenton. For the 1937 Coronation.  The King and Queen are shown in profile wearing their coronation regalia, within a portrait medallion titled  Empire  surrounded by flags with the legends &#x27;GEORGE RI - ELIZABETH R 1937&#x27; and &#x27;GOD SAVE THE KING&#x27;. below.  To the left are trumpeters and to the right The Lord Chancellor and members of the Order of Chivalry. The reverse shows St. George on horseback in front of Windsor Castle and among heraldic devices and Commonwealth flags. Incised on the handles are the names of various Commonwealth countries: Canada, Australia, India, South Africa, New Zealand, Ceylon, Kenya, Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, and the State of Tasmania. Number 988 of a limited edition of 2000. In excellent condition with great vibrant color. </description>

<description>A good Mormon commemorative enamel beaker for the Utah Pioneer Jubilee 1847-1897. One side shows the seal of the state of Utah dated 1896, the other is the logo of the 1897 Jubilee. The top band shows a wagon train and the lower shows an Indian attack and village. The base is marked  quot;Commemoration of the Arrival of the First Band of Pioneers into the Valley of Great Salt Lake July 24th 1847 quot;.  Usual chipping of the enamel along the rim and base and some staining on the inside. See all pictures. The body is in very good condition for its 112 years. </description>

<description>Early 20th century Historical Staffordshire plate commemorating Commodore Paul Jones capturing the Serapis Sept 23rd 1779. Fruit and flower border. Back mark - R   M Co. For Rowland   Marsellus who were importers, wholesalers and retailers, especially of souvenir wares operating out of New York c.1893 -1938. They dealt with numerous Stoke-on-Trent pottery manufacturers and then sold the wares to other distributors in the US. In good condition light ware and a couple of not noticeable small black spots on the front.    </description>
