<title>Collie Dog By Morgan Dennis 1946</title>
<link>http://pages.tias.com/6298/PictPage/3923614278.html</link>
<description>Morgan Dennis comments on the Collie Dog. &#x27;&#x27;Almost everyone has a sentimental affection for the Collie, if not because of personal childhood memories, perhaps because of the many fine stories written about the breed. The sketches below were for a plate called &#x27;&#x27;Youth&#x27;s Companion,&#x27;&#x27; and I&#x27;ve seen prints of it in children&#x27;s rooms all over the country.&#x27;&#x27; - Morgan Dennis This is a wonderful collectible for either the breed historian or the person who is lucky enough to be owned by this wonderful breed of dog. This page comes from a collection that I bought and it has previously been removed from a 1946 book containing the work of Morgan Dennis. It measures approximately 8 1 2 x 11 inches and is in overall good condition with the normal wear one would expect and would be just wonderful framed. This makes a great and unique trophy for your specialty </description>

<title>Pointer Dog By Morgan Dennis 1946</title>
<link>http://pages.tias.com/6298/PictPage/3923614277.html</link>
<description>Morgan Dennis comments on the Pointer Dog. &#x27;&#x27;I borrowed this pose from sketches my brother made at Grand Junction. I never use this breed in gag drawings, they&#x27;re too serious, except as pups, of course. A friend of mine, the late Newell Bent - onetime president of the Eastern Dog Club - used to bring his Pointers down to visit me on Cape Cod. I learned what I know abut the breed from his criticisms of my work as I painted their portraits.&#x27;&#x27; - Morgan Dennis This is a wonderful collectible for either the breed historian or the person who is lucky enough to be owned by this wonderful breed of dog. <title>Old English Sheepdog Dog By Morgan Dennis 1946</title>
<link>http://pages.tias.com/6298/PictPage/3923612809.html</link>
<description>Morgan Dennis comments on the Old English Sheepdog Dog. &#x27;&#x27;There&#x27;s power, speed, and courage beneath the woolly exterior of the sheep dog, one of the better known among the working dogs so common to Europe. The sight of them drawing farm carts along the country roads over there is a familiar one. In time of war and disaster they haul more than produce. With their wagons piled high with goods, they help evacuate civilian populations.&#x27;&#x27; - Morgan Dennis This is a wonderful collectible for either the breed historian or the person who is lucky enough to be owned by this wonderful breed of dog. <title>Sealyham Terrier Dog By Morgan Dennis 1946</title>
<link>http://pages.tias.com/6298/PictPage/3923612808.html</link>
<description>Morgan Dennis comments on the Sealyham Terrier Dog. &#x27;&#x27;Recipe for entertainment: Take a basket of Sealy pups, then relax - they&#x27;ll do the rest. The late O. O. McIntyre had a Sealy which he called Rainbow, for the obvious reason that rainbows require chasing, a source of inspiration for some wonderful McIntyre stories which I illustrated.&#x27;&#x27; - Morgan Dennis This is a wonderful collectible for either the breed historian or the person who is lucky enough to be owned by this wonderful breed of dog. <description>Morgan Dennis comments on the Bulldog Dog. &#x27;&#x27;With a change of markings these pups will be turned into the character created for Hanley&#x27;s, an old New England ale. The Hanley pup is in his sixth childhood now. Finding just the right puppy each year to pose for this Peter Pan character is a problem.&#x27;&#x27; - Morgan Dennis This is a wonderful collectible for either the breed historian or the person who is lucky enough to be owned by this wonderful breed of dog. <title>English Setter Dog By Morgan Dennis 1946</title>
<link>http://pages.tias.com/6298/PictPage/3923611990.html</link>
<description>Morgan Dennis comments on the English Setter Dog. &#x27;&#x27;My acquaintance with this breed has been limited to the show ring, and I&#x27;ve hung over the rail at Westminster many times, admiring their beauty and grace. However, I learned a bit more about English Setters when I criticized a portrait my brother had done of one of the winners at the Grand Junction Field trials in Tennessee. I thought it looked on the ratty side and said so. My brother was contemptuous of my ignorance. It seems that appearance is secondary here, performance is what counts in field work, and the silkiest of coats won&#x27;t retain that well-groomed look when the going is thick.&#x27;&#x27; - Morgan Dennis This is a wonderful collectible for either the breed historian or the person who is lucky enough to be owned by this wonderful breed of dog. <title>Cocker Spaniel Dog By Morgan Dennis 1946</title>
<link>http://pages.tias.com/6298/PictPage/3923611984.html</link>
<description>Morgan Dennis comments on the Cocker Spaniel Dog. &#x27;&#x27;For practical reasons I prefer doing blond Cockers. It&#x27;s easier to see what goes on anatomically, whereas expression and body lines are less readily discernible in their brunet brothers. A little blond Cocker, her ear blowing in a March breeze, reminded me of a movie star, resulting in a page for Good Housekeeping wherein the pups resembled movie folk.&#x27;&#x27; - Morgan Dennis This is a wonderful collectible for either the breed historian or the person who is lucky enough to be owned by this wonderful breed of dog. <title>Scottish Terrier Scotty Dog By Morgan Dennis 1946</title>
<link>http://pages.tias.com/6298/PictPage/3923611924.html</link>
<description>Morgan Dennis comments on the Scottish Terrier Scottie Scotty Dog. &#x27;&#x27;Scram was one of my most popular plates, even in England, where, to my amusement, the title was changed to Scramble . The pair at the top are the Look and Listen Scotties. When I struggled with them, trying for that particular expression, I didn&#x27;t know that they were going places via the advertising medium, or that the picture would be reproduced some three hundred million times. Incidentally, this was the first dog drawing of mine that was put to commercial use.&#x27;&#x27; - Morgan Dennis This is a wonderful collectible for either the breed historian or the person who is lucky enough to be owned by this wonderful breed of dog. <description>Morgan Dennis comments on the Wire Fox Terrier Dog. &#x27;&#x27;What I was know about this lively breed was taught me by one of the great exhibitors, Dr. Samuel Milbank, and that patient authority and handler, Leonard Brumby. The puppy in the upper right hand corner grew up to become the great winner, Twenty Grand.&#x27;&#x27; - Morgan Dennis This is a wonderful collectible for either the breed historian or the person who is lucky enough to be owned by this wonderful breed of dog.
