This pattern is also known as Pennsylvania Dutch Bird Scene, Friendship Bird, Birdie and Red Rooster and dates to around the 1960's to 1970's. This is a very hard to find piece, it is 13 1 2 inches long by 8 3 4 inches wide and 1 3 4 inches deep. This is most unique piece, I have researched this extensively and have not been able to find one like it. In the bottom corner it says 1974 Southwest, I believe this piece a promotional piece from Southwest Airlines for flights to Las Vegas. It has dice all around the edges, inside the dice it has all the major hotels, Riveria, Tropicana, Circus Circus, The Mint, Stardust, Hilton, Flamingo, Golden Nugget, Landmark, Thunderbird, Caesars Palace, Fremont, Sands, The Castaways, Dunes, MGM Grand Hotel, Desert Inn, Frontier and Hacienda, several of these hotels are not longer in business. There is also Las Vegas Nevada mixed in the right side of the graphics, handle is also a different style then you normal see, had a curve in it so that the first two fingers fit in perfectly. It is 4 3 4 inches tall, probably made by Fire King but not marked, only has the number 11 and USA. It is in excellent condition, no chips and no fading to the graphics. Corelle Dinnerware by Corning Ware is one a long time favorite, it is durable and easy to care for. The Shadow Iris pattern has Purple colored Iris on a white background and was introduced in the 1986. The Corning company was sold a few years ago and now there are only a few patterns still being made and this pattern is a very hard to find pattern.
