Bronze Plaque Paperweight signed Jos. Prinz

This is a handsome Art Nouveau cast bronze plaque fixed on an attractive piece of beige-brown marble with a wavy design. I am assuming it functions as a paperweight. The subject is a profile of a pretty lady typical of that era dating around 1907. Jos.Prinz was a well know artist in Vienna, Austria at the turn of the century. There are many small chips around the edge of the marble piece which are not too noticeable since they are the same color as the marble. In addition where are a few cracks in the surface only. The bronze has a fine patina The diameter is 2 inches 7cm and the height 1 3 8 inches 3.5 cm , its weight is 420 grams, a little less than a pound. 15 overseas postage

Victorian Beaded Immortelles Wreath

This early folk art heirloom is an Immortelles wreath especially used in France and Italy as a memorial decoration. These have become rare and collectable because many of them displayed outside were destroyed by exposure. In fact the tiny beads that finally fell off were collected to be used again as each wreath is hand made. For this pretty Immortelles opaque white, and green beads were strung on wire and shaped into flowers and leaves. The wire only goes through the bead once indication the French method. All the wire is wrapped with a satiny off white string. In the center is a lovely hand painted bisque angel with outstretched arms and blue wings. The face is sweet and delicate. The diameter is 11 inches 29 cm . The angel is 3 inches 7.5cm in height. The condition is good, clean and the whole piece is strong. The pretty angel has no defects. This piece is relatively small and perfect for decorative use. Overseas postage 35.00 insurance included. 850.00

Vintage Wax Bud Bridal Wedding Headpiece

This handsome antique bridal collector s head piece was hand made around the turn of the century. It fits over the head from ear to ear and frames the bride s face. It does not sit flat on the head like a tiara. There are sprays of largish wax buds, yellowish leaves and two wax flowers at its center. The height at the center of the top is 2 inches 6.5 cm . It has aged to beige and brown tones but it has not lost its charm or historical value. This tiara head band is in a suitable condition to be worn for a marriage if the theme is non-pure-white vintage romantic. Its classic form makes it a wonderful and authentic collector s piece. Overseas postage 18.00 If you check out my Vintage Clothing category you will see many more vintages bridal headdresses.

Ornate Swiss Baptism Certificate Dated 1888

This antique christening letter is beautiful ephemera hand work. The top of the envelope is decorated with a fine oval wreath of stiff threads. I am tempted to say it is horse hair but it seems too thin. In the middle is a yellow and white scrap paper flower with deep relief and a satiny surface. There are four tiny gold stars and a little white satin bow too. Inside the envelope is certificate with the name of the baby Johann Werren and other details. The date is 22 November 1888. If there is interest I can translate all of the inscriptions. The folded certificate goes into a pretty box with fancy printing on the surface. It translates quot;Remembrance of the day of Holy Baptism quot;. Attached to the inside is also a small envelope which I assume was for a lock of the baby s hair. There is some light age marks on the box, but the general condition is good. The box measures 4 5 8 inches 12 cm x 3 inches 8cm x inch 1.5 cm . Overseas postage 8.00

Vintage Swiss Wax Flower Bridal Tiara

This is one of the daintiest and prettiest of wedding tiaras. It is made of loops of tiny wax off white buds and flowers attached by hand to a green thread covered wire frame. What makes this head piece special is that at the back is a larger single pearly blossom. I have never seen this before and the effect is lovely. The petals are missing from two of the wax flowers but that does not distract from the overall effect. Please note that the lace is not included. This wreath will add romance to any outfit and be a special collectors find too. If you check out my Vintage Clothing site you will see many more vintages bridal headdresses.
