Imperial Glass Molly 725 Centerpiece Console Bowl. This pink Depression Imperial Glass 8 sided octagon shaped Molly pattern #725 console or flower bowl was very popular in the 1920s. Bowl measures 13-1/2" with a flared rolled down rim with curved glass panels. Console was very popular for the dining table. Consoles usually had matching candlesticks and were also called garniture sets. The vogue of the time was to put a frog in the middle to create a floral centerpiece for the dining table or buffet. This particular console is also a Reversible Bowl which was very popular and versatile for decorating and serving fruits for the 1920s modern hostess. The console-fruit-flower bowl is in very good condition for its age and use with no chips or nicks.
