This is one of a number of Hand made names and initials that my father received in a trade back in the mid sixties. He was told that they were made from solid gold wire. The wire has not changed color or tarnished in the thirty plus years he had them so it could be solid gold, but my guess is 14k gold filled, and I am pricing them as gold filled. Average size is 2-3 inches long by 1 inch high, some slightly more, some less. These items were very popular in craft fairs back in the sixties and seventies and will make a unique addition for name or initial jewelry collectors. Some of them can also be worn backwards or upside down to get an abstract jewelry effect (see other views)! Gold plated 24 inch chains and attaching links are also available for an additional $5.00. |
