Paden City Pottery Co Bread and Butter Plates. Offering a set of 5 Shabby Chic style Bread and Butter Plates made by Paden City Pottery Co., around the 1950's. Plates measure 6-1/4 inches in diameter and feature a floral decoration of yellow, pink, blue flowers and green leaves in a brown basket or urn in the center of a yellow border. We were unable to determine the pattern name but Replacements LTD describes the center design as a Multi Floral Center or Flowers in a Brown Urn as there are other Paden City patterns that have the same center design. One plate is in good condition J – 54 on the back and the other four plates marked K – 54 on the back have fading and discoloration from age. The five dishes have minor chips on the rims from constant use.
All the plates have the black mark in the back: THE PADEN CITY POTTERY CO. in a double circle around the kiln with MADE IN USA in a ribbon across. |
