Here are two interesting folders featuring Standard Drive Bases and Bases for Small Motors from the Rockwood Manufacturing Co., Indianapolis IN/
First is this 3.75 by 8.5 inch brochure (opening to about 11 by 17 inches) describing and illustrating Standard Rockwood Bases available.
Distributed by J.E. Rhoads & Sons, Chicago in the 1950s, most likely, these heavy equipment bases were sold for use in metal working plants, textile mills, large compressors, woodworking machines and paper-folders.
Complete descriptions are given of the uses, installation, specifications and dimensions of each size, along with data on motor ratings and belt directions.
The second brochure details the Simple, Compact, Inexpensive Bases for Small Motors to Insure Efficient, Trouble-free Drive Performance.
The 3.75 by 11 inch folder opens to 8.5 by 11 inches and to illustrate and describe the bases, with a dimension table to show available sizes and a lengthy list of suggestions for application. If you collect heavy tool or machinery data, these could make a great addition to your collection! Condition is Very Good with only some very slight edge/corner wear. (5006)
