A neat little souvenir field artillery piece, nicely identified July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd - GETTYSBURG, Pa. in the original old script print. A nice early keepsake from the hey day of veteran visitation to Gettysburg, this is one of the earlier souvenirs reminiscent of the days when many a surviving local veteran was engaged in the making and selling inexpensive knick knacks fashioned from battlefield cut pine and cedar. Attractive deep age patina and a nice size (5 ˝ inches total length). An especially nice Civil War Veteran item all original and available without spending lots of money.
