The Tulip with Sawtooth pattern was made by Bryce Richards & Co., c.1854, in both flint and nonflint versions. US Glass also made the pattern after 1891. This celery vase is the non-flint version, and although it is heavier than most non-flint celeries it does not have the weight of the earliest flint celery vases. Note the scalloped rim, faceted knob stem, and the large (3 ¾") circular foot with star pattern. It stands 9 ½" high. The glass is clear and bright. Excellent condition. (#5387)
