Manufacturer: Moravian Pottery & Tile Works
The Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania still continues to make its tiles by the original method used when Henry Mercer was still alive. This tile is one of their remakes from 1976, (dated on the back), and it is a brocade tile showing a man using a scythe to cut wheat. The glazes are matte, semi matte and high glaze - and the colors are very nice. Measures 4 1/4" x 3 3/4". There are two light kiln cracks on the back, which do not affect the integrity of the tile. (#T-1179)
