18th Century Chinese Temple Tile
Description: This very handsome antique tile is in the form of a warrior.
Size: 10 H x 5 W
Weight: 2 lbs.
Condition: Very good for its age. Condition issues: The tip of one flag is missing & there is what looks like a glaze pop above the right eyebrow. It could be a small hole made during manufacture. There is a metal hook embedded in the back for hanging.
Wonderful patina. Colors: green, blue black, beige - muted with age. I have had this piece since the 1980's. He was acquired from an antique dealer at one of NYC's famous Pier Shows.
