This is a unique set of polychrome finish bookends. They stand 8 in. tall, 4.75 in. wide and 4.5 in. deep. In very good condition. Marked with MB for the Marion Bronze Co. A colorful oriental man called the Professor, seated on a library chair or ladder in front of a bookcase with more books on the floor near him. This is a quite rare mold and the polychrome finish enhances the detail. Marion Bronze is very collectable and sought after. I believe these would be from the late '30's - early '40's era. No damage that I can find. Old felt on the bottom. |
