This is a beautiful piece of spongeware / yelloware decorated with a floral row around the top edge. Has the Bennington type glaze. This pattern makes even a spittoon attractive! About 7 ˝ inches across the top and 3 ˝ inches in height with a side drain, and it is open at the center. Very minor scuffs, crazing – has an aged chip near the side drain hole, another small chip on base, has a hairline in the drain area that slopes down, all to be expected in an old pottery piece of this age. |
