This light green octagonal polo ponies and riders deeply cut intaglio into a crystal ashtray is from c 1910.
The impressed design was created using an acid to give a frosted effect on the bottom. At full gallop with the riders swinging their mallets you can see the exquisite workmanship on this piece.
In very good condition, there are 2 fleabites on the rim which I have shown in my pictures and it measures 1/2 inch tall, 2 1/4 inches long and 1 5/8 inches wide.
An addition to any Vintage Green Glass or Tobacciana Collection.
