Vintage hollow metal gun powder holder. It is decorated with the Bald Eagle on each side with a shield in between displaying wheat sheaves, a lion, a castle and some bars. The carrying strap is leather and the there is a hinged flip top to cover the 3/16 inch diameter opening where the gun powder comes out. I believe the top screws on and off but it is corroded closed. There is much other detail work on the metal surface exterior, please see photos. It measures about 10 inches long and is in very good condition. This is a 2 part mold cast metal, metal corrodes lightly but does not rust. 07pdp310 |
