Manufacturer: unknown
This primitive egg crate has been constructed from an old wooden candy box. It is dove-tailed at the joints and has a wooden handle. The lid is held in place with a bent nail on each side of the box. It contains a cardboard egg carton that has 36 openings. 3 Dozen eggs could be held inside. It shows the ingenuity of our ancestors in making a useful item from left over materials. Nothing was wasted. Measures 13 inches sqaure and 6 inches high. A great primitive item! |
