This early crock has no manufacturer markings but is similar to the Weir style with a bail closure. The iron closure has some pitting due to age and use. Lid has some flaking to the glaze where the locking mechanism has rubbed it. The crock is two tone with chocolate top and stoneware grey base. Condition is very good with no cracks or chips. It is a large model measuring 11 inches tall and a base of 6.5 inches. The opening is 4 inches across. The interior is a dark glaze and clean. This is an excellent antique crock for your collection. |
