This is a nice Chypre talcum powder container, made by the Colgate-Palmolive-Peet Company before the name was changed to just Colgate Polmolive in 1953. Gold and green metal container, metal cap. Measures 5 1/4 inches tall to the top of the cap; at one time held 3 ounces. There is no longer any powder left. The cap has one small ding in it, but no rust or corrosion. There are a couple of small wear spots, and the bottom has a minute amount of tarnish. No other dings or dents and is in excellent condition. Container made in USA. The back of the container says: This exquisite talc is of the finest softest textue and agreeably scented preserves the daintiness of the person.
