From my personal collection, circa 1940s or 50s. Amazing charming design, hand made, wooden, hinged side, signed "Maurice", figural toy shop or dollhouse motif. one of my favorite finds ever!
Good vintage condition, minimal wear, natural imperfections, unique one of a kind design, good size, original felt lining, a must for serious collectors.
Thanks to a helpful collector:
Maurice Batson made thousands of purses in his home shop and sold them at a shop in Gatlinburg, Tenn. He now lives in Hattiesburg Mississipp and is retired now.
His craftsmanship is lovely and will live on forever!
