The backside reads: Shortly after the guns were silenced at Gettysburg in 1863, the inaugural race meeting was held at Saratoga. This year, 1963, marks the centennial of the historic track, where the most famous horses of the last 100 years have raced. This Souvenir post card commemorates a century of the Thoroughbred sport at the oldest racing center in America.
