This lead crystal buffalo/bull paperweight has the full bee mark on the bottom for Goebel. The German, Goebel company was founded in 1871 by Franz Detleff Goebel and his son, William. Together, the two committed themselves to being innovative producers of fine porcelain. The company soon expanded to make dinnerware pieces and figurines. The very first, porcelain figures appeared in 1890 and by 1933 the company had established a wide range of subjects exist and all are produced to a high quality which makes them an attractive and often valuable addition to any figurine collection. Today, the company is called Goebel Porzellanfabrik. The Goebel Company remains successful and continues to produce many beautiful lines of figurines and china including Red Heads and Co-Boys. Goebel Porzellanfabrik is still owned by the Goebel family whose leadership of the company is in its fifth generation. In very good condition without chips, cracks or fleabites there is a rub mark on 1 of the front feet which I have shown in my pictures and it measures 2 3/4 inches high, 4 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide. An addition to any Goebel Figurine Collection. SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed. If you have questions please contact me and thank you for looking.
