This church was founded in Dayton, Ohio in 1882, got their first building in 1899, the second building in 1912, and another in January 17, 1943, which this plate commemorates. The plate measures 9-7/8 inches and was made by Kettlesprings Kilns of Alliance Ohio. Back of the plate tells about the original design taken from the Patrick Henry Church of Richmond, Va. and the front of the plate pictures the church building, and has Dedicated 1943 at the top and Hillcrest Brethren Church – Dayton, Ohio written at the bottom. The church is located at 15 W. Hillcrest Avenue in Dayton, Ohio, and when it was first formed it was as a German Baptist Church. This plate is in good / used condition with minor surface scratches. |
