This item is a beautiful and unique Pottery Dog Figurine made at the North Dakota School of Mines by Julia Matson. Ms. Matson was an instructor at the school between 1924 and 1963. This lovely green Dog is apparently one of her earlier pieces because of the incised marks on the bottom. It has the incised initials of UND (University of North Dakota) and JM (for Julia Matson). It also has the stamped initials of UND. This Dog Figurine is about 2 and 1/2 inches high and is in excellent condition. |
