Circa: 1965-1976 Manufacturer: Anchor Hocking Glass Company/Made in USA
This milky white lidded sugar bowl and creamer with 22k gold trim, in the Golden Shell Pattern, was made by the Anchor Hocking Glass Company from 1965-1976 according to my Anchor Hocking's Fire King and more Third Edition Identification and Value Guide by Gene and Kathy Florence. The sugar bowl is marked: Anchor Hocking / Anchor Mark / Fire-King / Dinnerware / #13 / Made in U.S.A while the creamer is marked: Anchor Hocking / Anchor Mark / Fire-King / Dinnerware / #18 / Made in U.S.A. The Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation came into existence on December 31,1937, when the Anchor Cap and Closure Corporation and its subsidiaries and the Hocking Glass Company merged. Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation continued to expand into other areas of production such as tableware, toiletries and cosmetic containers. It continues today to operate 20 plants and is the worlds largest maker of glass tableware. It is hard to find the set with the cover for the sugar bowl. In very good + condition, without chips, cracks or fleabites the sugar bowl measures 5 inches tall, 3 3/4 inches across the rim and 2 5/8 inches across the base while the creamer measures 3 1/2 inches tall, 3 inches across the rim and 2 5/8 inches across the base. An addition to any Anchor Hocking Fire King Glass Collection. SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed. If you have questions please contact me and thank you for looking.
