Circa: 1895 Manufacturer: Wileman - Shelley China
A stunning, Victorian example of fine bone china in the form of an Empire shape cream jug, produced by Wileman and Co. The jug is decorated in the yellow version of the Chrysanthemum pattern, 6892, first introduced in 1895.
The condition is very good, although there is a small area of bad firing at the top of the handle, where the gilding has not taken and therefore appears purplish in colouration. This can be quite common with early examples of Wileman pottery and can be seen in the close up image of the handle. Otherwise, there are no cracks or chips and the item is very clean and unused in appearance.
Maximum Air Mail shipping of $15.00, dependant on destination. Optional Tracking and insurance is available for a further $8.00. |
