Made by S.C. Richard, c. 1920. Heavily reticulated 8 ¾" pottery plate with a high glaze. Fine gold line decoration surrounds the bust portrait and the rectangular reticulated sections. These lines are washed out and spotty around the left side of the portrait and washed out between some of the rectangles.A fine surface hairline exists on one of the edge points. Sir Douglas Haig is known for the British Army’s Somme offensive. Very good condition. (287E)
