This lovely Victorian era glass Christmas ornament is a paper-thin hollow glass disc wrapped in strands of fine crinkly wire and framed in a lyre-shape with coiled wire bullion. A faded red (now coral colored) fabric flower is attached to the front. The unsilvered brassy gold colored ornament is filled with real cotton which peeks out from the oval opening at the top. It measures about 3 inches high not including the hanging wire by 2-1/4" wide. There is typical light wear to the painted finish on the glass from age and rubbing of the wires, no damage.
