This Batchelder tile depicts three large leaves on a curled stem in a diamond, with neat looking animals in the corners. Done in a matte grayish brown finish, with a blue engobe in the recesses, this measures 5 3/4" square by 5/8" thick. It is design #37 in the Batchelder Tile catalog. This de-installed tile has a good front tile surface, very minor chips to the back/side edges and some slight mortar/grout in a couple of the recesses. The back shows the de-installation and some remaining mortar. Circa 1920's. (#1901-4567)
