Circa: 1928 Size: 2 in. tall x 9 1/2 in. long Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: VAN GYTENBEEK, MFG., CO.
A great historic piece, especially for the railroad buffs. A heavy desk ornament or paperweight of the New York Central engine car and coal car. The legend on the side of the base reads, The Hudson Type Locomotive Used in 20th Century Service, Built by American Locomotive Company for New York Central Lines. The back of the base reads, Van Gytenbeek, Mfg., Co., New York, copyright symbol, 1928. New York Central 5200 is imbossed on the cars. On a felt base, but there is some tarnishing & metal peeling on the bottom edge of the base. |
