This beautifully detailed old German paper-thin blown glass Christmas ornament is known as Boy's Head in a Nightcap according to my Christmas Rarities book. It's just over 2-1/2" high to the top of the pike. There is typical silvering loss and paint wear as shown but absolutely no chips or flakes, not even to the pike - and of course it displays wonderfully.
