Vintage c.1910s Kauffmanns, Pittsburg, 8 1/2 in. plate, red edging with light wear, black pen and ink style designs of a stagecoach and typical scenes along the old pike roads. No makers marks other than says Made Expressly for Kauffmanns, Pittsburg, which is the now Macys Dept. Store in Pittsburgh, PA. No chips, cracks or crazing, octagonal shape, has minor utensil marks. Has some wear on the center design but not bad. For a short while in the early 20th century the spelling for Pittsburgh was changed to Pittsburg, then changed back again. Great for Pittsburgh or horse collectors!
