This wonderful 1960s lighted Christmas tree top decoration has three charming chenille angel figures flying or floating around the points of a big gold foil paper star surrounded by 10 miniature colored lights. The entire decoration is about 10-1/2 inches wide by 8-1/2 inches high.
The dimensional star is outlined in gold braid and has a funky flower center in metallic red and loopy white tinsel with red glitter. The angels have hand painted faces on paper mache composition heads, yellow feather hair, and wired tinsel halos. Their bodies are ar textured fluffy white chenille and they have embossed gold Dresden scrap wings.
The lights work fine and the cord and plug are in good condition with no issues. The coiled gold wire holder is bent out of place just a bit. Some of the angels' yellow feather hair may be missing, or possibly it was just sparsely applied. The box lid is somewhat flimsy with some bends or creases and a torn cellophane window. Overall the topper is in great condition for such a fragile decoration and appears to have been used only once or twice.
