Enjoy scrolling through EAPG (Early American Pattern/Pressed Glass), along with other vintage glass, pottery, silver, pewter, old coins, collector books, cylinder records, etc. New unused, precious and semi-precious gem jewelry, STERLING, gold-filled or plate, and older costume jewelry will be added as it is sorted.
See below (About us) for the big picture! I am strictly a collector, not an expert, and I don't buy large lots of material.
Glass (EAPG) is my focus, but I also inherited a lot of "stuff" from my parents, much of it collected in the 1950's-1960's (semi-antique), and much of their material dating back to the Victorian era. My father loved lots of "old" things, often recounting fond memories associated with them. It's taking a long time, but I will slowly add interesting items, along with photos and as much history as I know about them.
Only large items such as furniture, rugs, phonographs, etc., are not practical for this venue. However, if you are local to northwest CT, and can pick-up an item, feel free to email and inquire.
Thanks,
Ger |

Circa: 1950's Manufacturer: Fenton
Vintage footed cake salver was identified in Fenton’s 1952 catalog as no. 68, 13 inch footed cake plate. This is one of my Mom’s collection of milk glass, and it could well date back to the 1950’s, making it semi-antique. It was always displayed but rarely used, so it is in MINT condition, with no damage, chips, cracks, etc. The graduated hobs show opalescence towards the base. The top is ruffled neatly, and there is a linear swirl pattern in the stem. There are a few subtle lines and a bump on the top, but these appear to be in the making. The top edge obviously was hand-tooled since it is not an even 13 inches across; it measure 12 ¾ inches to 12 7/8 inches. The edges are smooth, so there has been no grinding. The base measures 5 inches across and this lovely clean white piece stands from 5 to 5 1/8 inches in height, again variation probably due to hand-working. Not marked. Pristine, clean white milk glass in basically near-MINT condition. Buyer to pay for shipping by USPS Priority, with free Delivery Confirmation, 7 lbs. from 06068. #541 |
