Circa: 1950 Country of Origin: Japan Manufacturer: Shiny Brite
A box of six retro composition Christmas ornaments, made in 1950s Japan for Shiny Brite. They are cardboard boots with gold foil leaf, each filled with little decorated bottle brush trees, lacquered holly leaves, mercury glass ball ornaments, and other items. One has mercury glass candles, another foil candy canes, and four have spun cotton figures: angel, elf, Santa, and snowman. The ornaments are about 3-1/2 inches high and have gold thread loops for hanging on the Christmas tree. The mercury glass ornaments have some loss of the inner silvering and the elf has some wear to his face, otherwise they're all in very good condition. The original box is present but does not have the Shiny Brite lid.
