We have a set of three exquisite Paris fruit plates painted at Escalier de Cristel, Palais Royal Street, Paris, c. 1854-1900. The owner of the "Crystal Staircase" was Lahoche & Pannier, who produced exceptional art porcelains. The plate is marked with this studio, but we were unable to photograph it as it was very light.
We are selling each plate individually, but you might be interested in the set of three.
The plate is over 9" wide with a tan border. A magnificent array of delicious ripe red cherries with white blossoms fill up the entire plate. This is some of the best painting we've seen. The plate is in excellent condition with very minor gilt wear on the edge of the rim.
