Publisher: Theo. Audel & Co. New York N. Y.
This is a clean set of Audels with a complete set of 4 volumes copyright in 1923 39, on all 4 volumes, volumes one and two reprinted in 1947, volumes three reprint in 1945, and volume four in 1944. One of my favorite reference book sets for information on building and carpentry techniques from the 1940's. The 1st volume is very good for information on tools of that days and how to care for them. Each book is 5" x 6.5" has a black leather like look, pressed cloth exterior highlighted with gold gilt spine lettering. All are in good to very good condition, good solid, tight bindings, pages are clean and white inside, very clean, no owner's names. Some minor variation in red page edge color, but quite nice overall. The cover boards are semi-soft, in very good condition. The spines have gold gilt lettering, all volumes are very good on lettering with the exception of volume four that seems to have some missing, or originally more lightly printed gold gilt lettering. Overall good++ condition. A nice set of books covering tools, steel square, joinery, furniture, math, drawings, estimating, house and roof framing, layout, foundations, doors, windows, stair building, millwork, painting, etc. Lots of good information!
