Circa: Late 1890's Condition: Good++ Manufacturer: Stanley Rule & Level Co. New Britian Conn. U.S.A.
This is a nice clean late 1800's version of the 2 to 4 foot extension rule. This rule is design to fit into pocket or openings such as doors and windows that are between 2 and 4 feet. This rule is made of maple and has two sections, one that extends to measure an end to end distance, and is so calibrated and the inch graduations on the extension section to direct read the measurement. It has brass hardware and end tips. It is marked "Stanley Rule & Level Co. New Britian Conn. U.S.A." on one side. There is graduation on one side only as per factory original. The rule has easy to see and read graduations, very little wear on the marking, some small scratches and minor stain here and there, but overall one of the nicest used rules of this kind I have seen! The brass is solid, no damage, works as it was designed. Pretty nice! |
