This vintage Egyptian sterling silver lotus flower pendant has ancient symbolism and in Egypt it is associated with rebirth, sun and day, and creation in general. In Buddhism, the various hues of the lotus flower hold strong meanings as well.
This pendant is cast of solid sterling,is 1 3/8" high and is quite hefty. The back is marked with Egyptian hallmarks on the back. It hangs from a 19" hand-wired lapis hue blue bead and silver color wire chain and closes with a spring-ring clasp.
Condition is very fine and the message of rebirth is one every Queen of the Nile can appreciate!
