Circa: 1960 Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: Lanissa for Shiny Brite
A box of six round glass Christmas ornaments in bright and bold colors, decorated with mica glitter polka dots. They are Lanissa brand but have Shiny Brite metal caps, made for Max Eckhardt & Sons (manufacturers of Shiny Brite) in West Germany. The ornaments are about 2-1/2 inches high. The colors have a kind of layered effect - it looks like the colored glaze was applied over white to give them depth. They are silvered inside but the ornaments don't have the usual highly reflective, mirrored effect. There is some normal wear to the mica glitter and a few tiny marks to the colored finish here and there. The original box is in excellent condition. The white dots in the photos are from my lights.
