A pretty and delicate antique Victorian glass Christmas ornament shaped like a poinsettia basket. It's 3-1/2 inches high to the top of the gold tinsel-wrapped wire hanging loop. The free blown glass ornament "basket" is shaped like an inverted mushroom and is wrapped in crinkly tarnished gold wires. It's unsilvered, painted pale green and cream, then coated with clear crushed glass for sparkle.
Inside the pike stem is a little fluffy red velvet poinsettia flower with green paper holly leaves. There's a small tear to the back of one leaf, otherwise the ornament is in excellent condition with no breaks, finish wear, or loose wires.
